Why with us?

Highest specialisation of our experts:
Our team is composed of prostate MRI experts who have specialised in the mpMRI examination of the prostate. We enhance and assure our quality by means of continuous independent secondary assessment within a nationwide quality network.

Dr. Dr. Tibor Vag, the head of Conradia Radiology Planegg, participates in numerous international training sessions. He closely communicates with urologists, pathologists, oncologists and radiation therapists at the monthly tumor conferences, where he can keep his knowledge up-to-date.

In addition Dr. Dr. Tibor Vag has the highest level of qualification to create radiological reports on mpMRI examinations.

Structured reporting:
All mpMRI examinations of the prostate are performed by our team with quality-assured, structured findings. Our structured reporting is always done in accordance with the latest internationally recognised guidelines pursuant to PIRADS Version 2, and we regularly discuss our findings with our urological colleagues. In the interdisciplinary meetings the pathological results are again compared with the mpMRI images.

Highest image quality for the prostate:
In our special centre for mpMRI examination of the prostate, we work with a 3 Tesla high-end system from Siemens (3Tesla Skyra) that is specifically configured for the prostate. With this system, we achieve a particularly high image resolution and particularly high image quality for the important diffusion measurement of the prostate (ZoomIT technology). In addition, we have a special software package with which we also achieve excellent diagnostic image quality for wearers of hip prostheses. This is particularly important for wearers of hip prostheses, as other systems do not allow any statement to be made about the presence of a tumour.

For patients with claustrophobia, our system offers a comfortable 70 cm aperture. In addition, our staff are specially trained to deal with claustrophobic patients. Therefore, please raise this matter when you make an appointment. We would also be happy to make an appointment with you for a "trial run-through" in the MRI to test in advance whether an examination is possible despite your claustrophobia.

Please bring any available preliminary findings, current PSA values or biopsy results with you to your MRI appointment and so contribute to achieving an exact diagnosis. After a biopsy, it is best to wait 6 weeks before performing an MRI of the prostate.

Appointments

Conclusion:

Please discuss the possibility of a multiparametric MRI of the prostate with your treating urologist before the biopsy. In case of any questions regarding the mpMRI of the prostate, please contact us to make a personal appointment with our team at Conradia Radiology Munich.
